Posted:Looks like my worries about ID can be solved whether or not my stupid passport turns up in time. I just received this in an email from aloud:

Written by:

Every ticket holder will be required to present their personalised ticket, along with one of the following forms of ID - a new photo style driving licence, or a government approved photo ID bearing the PASS hologram, such as the CitizenCard. You can apply for a CitizenCard online through this link www.citizencard.com/glastonbury, or by calling 0870 240 1221.

Please note that to guarantee your CizitzenCard arrives before the festival you must make an application before Thursday June 16. All CitizenCard applications for Glastonbury ticket holders will now incur an 'urgency surcharge' of 15

On the downside though, it will mean I'd have to join the goverments stupid National ID card scheme thankx

You have to drive around a bit to get in that side, but at least you won't have to drag your stuff across the whole site.

Was that just to shout at them for being retarded, or actually to apply for one?
When i rang them to apply, they said I had to do it online.

It was to shout at them for being proper retarded, i don't think they had the brightest people working for them. The whole thing is just a farse really.

Would it be cool if i join your convoy, i think it may save me circumnavigating the whole of the south west before i make it to the carparks. (might not be able to make it on Sun now either cause my car sucks ass)

I'm off to Glasto as well. And the paraffin thing is a good point. I'm sure performers have, like... passes and stuff. The gate staff most likely won't take kindly to flammable liquid being taken into a festival sight, even if you have dreadlocks and poi.
Actually... if EVERYONE here brings some, they won't search everyone. At least some people will win clap

They are guides. They are teachers. They are like Yoda, only smaller and on strings.

The security on the gate didn't seem to care - I didn't have any in glass bottles and that was all they were looking for when they searched my bags.

ID fiasco update: I managed to convince the security guy at work to take a mugshot of "Citizen Mark" for the ID photo. Looks bloody hideous (as all mugshots do).. now I'm just awaiting the dispatch confirmation. Whats the betting my [censored] passport will turn up the day after I get back?
