One day I'll come on the boards at 4am (BST) and find that the top 5 topics weren't answered by me.

In fact other folks from around the world will have posted and said exciting things.

One day.

In a crazy Mad Max, post apocalypse kinda place.

I got fuel to share.

And bullets. We'll take those renegades if theyt come for us, don't you worry . . .

Meh

I guess I watch too many movies. I must admit I still do picture Austrialia like that. And probably will until I get out there. I'd feel guilty but I know what you all think of New York City. Don't worry, if you ever crash land here my friend Snake will help you Escape.

Well, shall we go?
Yes, let's go.

I have had a great time in Australia!

Each of my 3 visits so far have been memorable.

The people were nice, the food was good and the climate was agreeable.

On my first trip, we went to a nature preserve outside of Melbourne. While there we wandered by the kangaroo section. Now, they only had slack ropes between the animal area and the visitor walkway, so like the law-abiding New Yorker that I am, I stepped over the very low rope and walked over to a roo who was grazing. I just wanted one of my friends to get a picture of me with the roo.

I got very close and started petting it! It looked at me, then went back to the grazing as my friend snapped away.
Then it turned around and grabbed my right hand in its claws. I thought "Its going to raise up, then kick me in the stomach...I am going to die at the hands of skippy..."

It started licking my hand! I guess it was the salt that it liked, but it was amazing.

I was blessed by a kangaroo.

for those of you interested:

About 15kms north of Broken Hill, (town near the SA/NSW border) is the small ghost town called SILVERTON. Its where they taped about 50% of the mad Max beyond thunderdome movie. The Desert Driving scenes where filmed out in the West Australian Desert, way up near Broome. But thats a lot harder to get too, and theres less to see.

The silverton Pub has a very nifty picture board with several good shots of filming of Mad Max. Silverton was also the home for filming of movies such as "A town like Alice" "We of the Never Never" ect. As well as being the home of MadMax, Silverton has an excellent selection of Art Studio's including the work of one very funny Peter Browne who has been known to paint entire artworks on TOAST with VEGIMITE *hides from Cassandra* . It has been noted that earlier failed attempts were fed to his dog, with no ill effects....

Currently on the right side up of the world.

in the desert of nevada, exists a town, no a city in fact. black rock city. in this city is THUNDERDOME. people brawling and climbing all over it. seriously. it truly exists. thunderdome .

you can't have a war against terrorism because war IS terrorism.it's not about worshipping fire. its about making the fire want to worship you.
