Just got back from work, and decided to have a little peek into the garden to see it in all its spring-y goodness (were basked in sunshine atm biggrin) and low and behold, in the pond there it was!
It's so much fun to feel biggrin When we have little baby froggies jumpy around i'll take some pictures ^_^
I can't wait to see them develope. Yay for frogspawn!

Frog spawn is one of my best childhood memories. Used to always be heaps on the dam and road verge.
For many years though the family used so many poisons the frog numbers dimished but now no cropping and they are coming back.
Awesome biggrin

how do you tell the difference between toad spawn and frog spwan??
Apparnetly the tadpoles will start attacking the goldfish when they hatch, so we're gonna move them into a tank in the garden with some stones so they can get out and evrything.
OOoo i can't wait for baby frogs!

Frog spawn tends to be in a ball all stuck together, but toadspawn is all in a string.

Yay for spring, has anyone noticed the birds singing again?

We've moved all the spawn into a big fish tank in the garden, so that the fish don't eat them.

I love frogspown! I still spend way to much time resuing it from puddles and putting it in bigger ponds!

When I was little I used to keep it in a tank until they all hatched but once I forgot to feed then for a few days and they started eating each other. I started with about 50 little tadpoles and ended up with just one enormous tadpole! Remeber to feed them!

And if you put your finger in te tank they coma and munch off all the dead skin cells, it feels really weird and raspy. Maybe they should make it an exfoliation treatment ina spa and charge celebrities hundreds of pounds for it ubblol

Usually me on fire (rather than flames being amber coloured)

I used to feed tadpoles on dog/cat food, just a little bit otherwise it makes the water go manky. And they like pond weed because a type of algae grows on it that they scrape off and eat. And failing that they just eat each other!

Interesting fact about frogs: Trout, pike and otters eat frogs but they only ever eat the back legs (like french people). Is the rest of the frog poisonous or something?
