it depends on the context:
if i'm part way through pouring a pint and stopped its half full
if i'm part way through drinking a pint then its half empty

similarily if i see a half full/empty pint on a table in a pub i presume it used to be full in which case it is now half empty...

is that just too boring a way to look at the world?

And then they say, "its alright, I'll ask someone else."

I think the glass is half empty. But i also think its ever changing. For example, i have a [censored] day and everyone pisses me off, then i find £25 on the floor. biggrin And so it changes biggrin

the downside of the glass is closed and the up site is open
so if you go drinking (wit a straw, ofcourse) you will soon be at the bottom. but if you pour more in it will run over soon.

so that makes it ... ehm ... half ... ehm

Im confused now

so you think Im not a newbie? Ok I'll be the King of the newbies. Nucleon the king of all noobs

I dunno, I think I agree with the others, that it depends whether your intent is filling or emptying. Or failing that, there's always argos...with the laminated book of dreams!!!

Gotta love that. He's a funny funny man. Of course, it all depends on whether the cup was to be used in a sacrificial context... ubbloco
