weird... it's like their nameserver dropped you for some reason... usually these things work themselves out after a few days (and the i.p. lookups get correctly propigated across the internet) but it's an awful pain to know you got everything worked out with a new host and got the archives back up, and we still can't download the videos =]

as a thought, have you considered packaging the entire collection into a couple of torrent files and using your host as a seeder? it'd save a heck of a lot in bandwidth and keep the torrents from going dead.

oh, and if you can find the i.p. address of your web server, post it up here so we don't have to wait for shoddy dns servers ;]

Lights dancing off my skin as chains wrap round it.
Pain is in a little box and I'm so glad I found it.

this is the thing, the whole host has disapeared.... not just poiinthepark.
the only contact email address i have for the host is to their main site and that is not working either.

I hope that they get this sorted today!, it has been a serious ammount of time and effort to move the site and sort out the database to get every thing back up and running again, most of you will know that i am emigrating in 3 weeks time and running a pub i dont have the time to do all this again, i have so much that i need to get done, including finishing my language course.

Im absolutly gutted that the site is down a few hours after i finish it, i dont have a back up either of the repaired files and database so i hope they fix it.

We regret to inform you that the server on that we had "www.meinwebserver.com" was hacked yesterday on 14th march.

Unfortunately we do not have any data-backups. We are very sorry for this unpredictable incidence and of course we can offer you a new account for the same fee.

Simply contact office@meinhosting.com with
1) your domainname
2) your package (resUnlimited, 20gb100gb, unlimited etc.)
3) your paypal-email (or subscription-id)

Please set your domains nameservers to ns1.meinhosting.com & ns2.meinhosting.com.

We can setup your account very swiftly on the new server and send you your login-details. By the way it is a faster server than the hacked one.

We have taken more security-measures to avoid such an incidence again.

As you can imagine we will not be able to answer support-emails with special-requests in next days.

Thank you,

MWS Office

thats 2 serves that pips been located on that have now been hacked.

really feels like some one is trying to give me a hard time.

In all honesty... i feel like crying right now not knowing if the database has been lost, i have emailed the host and set my name servers, i have requested if they could try to recover the database in the process of setting up a new account.

Just have to sit around and wait for the out come now.

fingers crossed.
