back in high school we got some pimped out ti-92 calculators from the state of austria. within 20 minutes we all had supermario on it, with a level editor!

i find it iteresting to look at leet as a dynamic language and a form of privacy, however all the ppl that use it online just to talk normally, annoy the hell out of me.

ok, the idea behind high leet was that actual moderators could still read leet as it was relatively visually phonetic i.e. SPEAK to 5P3@K reads pretty easily if you know the language...
high leet is still visually representing the letters, but unless you are really committed to being fluent, it is impossible to read at any normal rate.
The idea is simple. using only one line of typographic symbols, it is difficult to write every character without using some char's to represent themselves... i.e. f or p. it would be trivial to create such characters with only typesetting symbols if the typer utilized two lines of leet for one line of text, i.e.

well, pi in binary is a simple conversion from pi in decimal, so i'm certain people have written pi to many decimal places in binary, however, no one has "calculated" pi, as it is not rational, so you can only ever approximate it.

its been approximated to over 6 billion digits by computer...
the world record for reciting pi from memory is 42,000 digits...
at CMU today, i helped write pi in chalk across the sidewalks on campus to 2^14th digits, thats more than 16,000
