Thanks to my work, I'm off to Barcelona for one night only so if anyone is free for the evening of Thursday 10th itd be pretty cool to meet up instead of just spinning by myself as I don't have a walkman and will probably be a little bored after a short while

i don't know any spinners in barcelona unfortunately, but a friend of mine recently spent 2 weeks there and met tons of spinners every evening on the beach

Thanks for the tip Fab, I don't know how to get to the beach but I'll try. I was there a year ago and could only find "harbour" but I'll see what I can do. It's a shame I can't take parafin on the plane for my wicks

there's definitely a beach too, a fairly big one. head for the harbour and just ask someone for directions to the playa
don't worry, if there's any spinners there i'm sure you'll sniff them out...
have a safe trip..

ok, just called him. apparently there was spinning at 8ish onwards most evenings at Mont Juic. that's where they have the big coloured fountain show thingy....
and otherwise along the seafront....

1) Necesito el queroseno = I need the paraffin
2) Donde esta la tienda que vende el queroseno? = Where is the shop that sells paraffin
3) el/la malabarista = the juggler/spinner/whatever you wanna call it
4) Te fumas? = You smoke?

And, I have to say without it being a racist slur....it's all the French peoples fault!
They were on strike, like literally, the whole country! Form Airport control to teachers for a 35 hour working week! And they even times it to coincide with the 2012 Olympics committee appraisal, so there's one more chance of it coming to the uk!
So anyway, I landed in Charles de Guale and sat in the damn terminal for about 7 hours, didn't get to the hotel till 2am and just slept, went to the meeting and then came back home. Ah well, at least the......erm....taxi driver was pleasent and didn't over charge us too much!
