I hope everyone can figure out that I'm a girl, not a guy. It does say Miss on my name....

I have never been mistaken as a girl online but offline I have been a few times cause of my long shaggy hair... But not recently due to the fact I let my goatee grow out a bit ^_^

I like the idea of having the gender next to location... would make things easier and wouldnt be as embarrassing for some of us.

Must say offline I havent been called a bloke in a few months smile

However, the other day when I was at Hoadley Hide we were talking to a female rover and apparently they failed a team on their stunt because they thought she was a guy... lol

not a bad idea. i don't get mistaken online (i think) but i used to offline......it all started long, long ago...........

when i was little i got my hair cut off to be a guy in a play. when i went back to school everyone thought there was a new boy in the class! also used to get some weird looks going to girls toilets!
but then i grew my hair, got breasts and a waist and that kinda fixed that.

I don't think anyone would mistake me for male in real life or on here...

But I have to admit that there have been a few people that I got confused with....I was also a victim to the ImmortalAngel is a female plague... ooooops

I sort of thought roarfire (in her old name) was a male ooooops again....then I checked her profile and realised my silly mistake.

When people read my name incorrectly, they often think I'm a guy.

And in real life my friends usually call me one of the guys; [on one of those jumping castles with foam thingos] "I want to fight a girl!" "fight Beth!" "I said a GIRL!" that count?

i would have changed ***** to phallus, and claire to petey Petey

Rougie: but that's what I'm doing here
Arnwyn: what letting me adjust myself in your room?..don't you dare quote that on HoP...

i thought spanner was a boy for ages, just cos spanners seem masculine, and the avatar looks like a boy to me...i also thought roarfire was a boy when she was xabandonedx, soon realised though.

tao star is a girl isn't she ado-p? according to her profile she is...?

talking about the bird and bloke thing again...

i think that everybody has the potential to have an even balance of yin energy and yang energy wtihin them (yin being feminine and yang being masculine). generally, females "give off" more yin energy than yang, and vice-versa for males.. however, this is not always the case (and this is in no ways related to homosexuality (well, i guess there are ways they are related.. but i just wanted to stress that this is not what i'm referring to here)), and often there are males that simply "feel" like females to other people because of some basic energetic polarity concentrations... (and females who may give off more yang than yin energy..)..

I haven't been here long, so I guess it's hard to tell, but I've been mistaken for a guy, both here and RL. Used to be a lot. Not so much in RL anymore, because I've started wearing more 'feminine' (read: tight) clothes. But I tend not to be very feminine personality-wise, so.... 'Xept here, I thought a heart avatar was an obvious 'girlie' giveaway. (but the c-cup bra doesn't seem to clue some people in, so why would a heart be more obvious...)

Several HoPpers have surprised me. Since I'm new and don't know you well enough, I won't say who. redface What I will admit to is that more often I mistake guys (I think they're female) than the other way around. And a few people I changed my mind about so often, I just went and checked.

I think it's cool that a lot of people don't seem to fit the assumptions we make about male and female. And that we learn to question those assumptions. When you don't know, you don't go into an interaction with preconceived notions, and it's more fun to interpret the 'clues.' smile

I used to get mistaken as being male alot on here.

People also look at me very strangely in real life too, when I tell them what my name is (its Flynt), and that always makes them curious, sometimes aggressively so...

I really do think its odd. Why does gender mean so much anywyas? Not trying to get into the whole deep discussion part of it, but I guess it doesnt bother me all that much.
