I think that as you and Cantus have such a horrendous amount of posts, all decisons on future HoP matters and, in fact, any decisions on anything at all, should be referred directly to you tongue

With the video submission, if we have music we have to have it authorized by the musician to make sure that we don't get sued and all of that other legal mumbo jumbo. That's understandable, not getting sued is a good idea. However, my question is, if a person turns in a video with no music does Malcom put in music or is their video simply muted?

Posted:As a total beginner, I have the COL2 & 5, and they're fantastic. A great way to learn, be inspired, etc. And I like having a few non-poi arts sprinkled through it - in case we're not familiar with other stuff going on. But I agree that it makes sense to keep the focus on poi in the "Home of Poi" videos. Maybe I'm not remembering correctly, but I don't recall much glowstick/ball/lights stuff, which I would very much like to see.

I know it's difficult to get legal clearances for music, but my one suggestion would be to either require people to submit with music, or give them choices - like here are the 10 tracks we have, you must use one - because when the routine doesn't fit the music, it's distracting and/or irritating.

Really glad you're going to do another one! clap (I always misremember the name as Carnival of Light, anyway, so I'm okay with changing the name.)

I will however, most probably be sending in some fire footage - just because I love it.

i think "circles of light" refers to the dots of colour that appear in front of your eyes when you hit yourself in the head with your chosen prop. i have achieved these "circles of light" with pretty much all the toys we've been discussing (both lit and unlit), so i think you can probably enter with any of them.
