I understand how projects get canned, I'm only sorry I didn't know about this one 'till it was basically too late.

**Sigh** I may still do my idea for people's amusement. Dang.

Always a year late....

I'm weird. Just work through that and we'll all be fine.

And it's a compliment that you have chosen such a similar format to "The Sphercular Community DVD"

I look forward to seeing some awesome videos later this year smile

Truthfully, that is what COL has always been.

A community made video. The concept has not changed, just the prizes.

Therefore, it is not competition for anything and I think the name should stay the same, Circles of Light, but instead of calling it 6 perhaps calling it 2005.
Date it by year, that way it will be concidered more of a "photo" album rather than a continuation.

Even though it is a continuation.
Did that make sense?

*shrug*

I would hope so!!

I think it would break things up nicely to have a bit of CJ on there too, although, certain people, or should I say Jedi, *cough Drew cough* would be almost guaranteed a place on there!! no jealousy intended!! Honest!!

That would then turn it from Circles of Light to Circus of Light.

I am curious. I had been wondering this myself after perusing the "other" forum.
Malcolm, where is the breaking point to which not as spinny based arts are allowed in the COL's?
Is it preferably to have a the main focus on spinning/twirling arts? (this would be my guess)

Or just something that can be lit up and manipulated? (which is just about anything)

For me one is definately representative of a place named Home of Poi while the other is more representative of circus.

I think by maintaining focus on the primary arts here on the site we allow a broader range of people the comfort zone and capability of being in the "year book" per se, where as if everyone enters various other circus based arts, those who are not as advanced but still want to enter may feel intimidated, or the entries will take a attention away from the spinning arts. Which is what HoP is based on.

I could keep going, as I have other suggestions but they keep circling around in my head and I am making myself confuzzled! lol

Hmmmmmm....curiouser and curiouser.

How about we call it, "arsn and the rest of the gang from Hop"... or you could choose to skip my sagestion and go for something a little more community based. I think the name Col is a good name. It coul be Col v2, or "Lock", (Light of Community Kind), or something like that... but don't forget to put arsn in there somewhere biggrin tongue ubblol

Malcolm, on a side note, I'm sure that this had to have had alot of thought put into this. I know that you are and have always been proud of the Col seris. Desiding to stop the competition side of things and make only a community based project wouldn't have been an easy thing to do. I respect the fact that you have still chosen to continue bringing real videos of fellow hoppers to the homes of many. So put me down for buying a copy. wave
