I just got it a few days ago and dmn it's addictive. if you don't know the game yet check out https://www.worldofwarcraft.com/
.

My character is a human warrior named Rubherard and located in the Doomhammer Realm. I'd love to get my ass kicked by a fellow firespinner.

I know there's a few of you out there...

HA! We're Guild Wars nuts here. Much bloomin' cheaper, and still quite a lot of fun!

Never been into WoW...seen a lot of lives ruined by it.....we have limits on playing Guild Wars- we mainly play on the weekends if we're bored or can't sleep, or through the week we limit it to like an hour and a half...but now we have poi we won't be playing hardly at all...gotta practice if I want Fire Poi. I made myself a deal- I have to master at least 6 tricks (forward, backward, both hands) and be able to do them fluently before I pick up a fire poi.

If anyone is ever on Guild Wars Factions or Guild Wars Nightfall...or wants a ten hour trial (or two weeks-whichever happens first) lemme know- I have one to give away...and if you already play...message me n I'll let you know our names n stuff smile

I kept saying I wouldn't play this because 1. It looks cartoony, 2. I spend too much time on computers already.

Then the guys I've been playing LANed Sins of a Solar Empire with ended up getting me interested.

I must say the game is every bit as good as you'd expect something addictive to be. I'm the kind of person who plays things like the Half Life series for the story, and WoW just has a huge potential for exploration and character development, and more quests than you could hope to complete with a dozen characters.

Been playing for 10 days on Killrogg, and so far I've got:

20 Troll Hunter (Skinner/Leather Worker)

17 Orc Warrior (Miner/Engineer)

14 Tauren Warrior (Miner/Blacksmith)

12 Blood Elf Warlock (Enchanter/Jewel Crafter)

with a little help from a couple of my guild friends who live locally.

I'm power leveling the warlock into a drain tanking affliction specialist now I'm off the trial (and it's level 20 limit), and I'm sure my BF2 medic whoring mouse/keyboard skills will come in handy ripping off all those spells.

And even cartoony looks good when you have a huge monitor and can turn all the video settings to full smile

I've been on WoW twice now and both times I got well and truly addicted - completely neglected things (daily ablutions, pet hygiene, state of the house with pets running free, etc) in favor of playing the game. It really was bad... I love the game and think it'd be great to go back, but it's total kryptonite for me.

Of course, that doesn't stop me from recommending it to everybody. It's also fun! smile Played a human warlock on Emerald Dream and a dwarven huntress on Kilrogg.

Midsummer Fire Festival has been kind of fun. I've been running all over the land honoring/desecrating fires, trying to get enough flowers for a brazier.

Something else that's been going on for the festival is a bit more HoP on topic...

I used to play WoW, but then i got Guild Wars and sold my WoW account for something rediculous for a level 60 character.

While WoW is pretty fun and addictive, GW is far more fun tongue
*waits for the stoning from the WoW'ers*

Anyone who's ever player WoW will probably enjoy this wink 'World of Wifecraft'

We are the music makers, We are the dreamers of dreams,
Wandering by lone sea-breakers, And sitting by desolate streams;
World-losers and world-forsakers, On whom the pale moon gleams;
We are the movers and shakers of the world for ever, it seems.

yeah - that World of Wifecraft vid is quite good. I particually like the Leeroy reference at the end. biggrin

It's a shame the fire festival is over, I only got to do 2 of the quests (the target one and the catching the stick one).

We had a bash at Kael'Thas last night - it's an awesome fight, but very, very hard. I also got to (temporarily) get my hands on a legendary weapon! grin https://www.wowhead.com/?item=30318

Anyone looking forwards to the WotLK release?
I already have the collectors edition pre-ordered and reserved at my local GAME store grin

I pre-ordered, but I'm starting to think 'why am I still paying for this' when the servers have been offline so much for maintainance.

I'm trying to get my BM hunter to 70 before WotLK, so I have a choice between high level PVP on her, and raiding on my warlock main.

To be honest though I'm more looking forward to using the hunter to boost my bank alt mage into a twinked out L19 BG hunter-killer, than I am anything in LK.

My main is a mage and I'd hoped to get her to 70 before the xpack but it's not going to happen. She's high enough that I can make a Death Knight though! I don't think a DK is ultimately what I want to play but I'm curious to try it out. I love my mage though. She's so pretty when she kills things.

I can't spoil too much, but the Hordies will love the "Take back the Undercity" quest ubblove ubblove ubblove ubblove ubblove

I'm at 77 at the moment, and Im quite frankly disgusted to see Level 80 DK's already grin

The guild has already started on the new Naxx and are progressing well through it.

Polarity - servers can be down sometimes, but we usually get free days of play time to make up for it smile
