Spring has finally arrived. It is like re-discovering a lost love. It re-charges me.

In winter there is a clearness in the sky. You can almost taste the coming of snow in the air. Spring is different. The air in the evening feels as though the sky has just stopped burning, like waving your hands in the air above warm embers.

The air feels thicker, and softer. There is a tint of jasmine in the evenings, a sensuous sweet smell. It reminds me of past lovers and warm evenings.

Thank god for spring. My skin is alive again...

I really used to have problems dealing with the sesons when I first came out here. Australia has two seasons, hot & cold.

But as of the 9th of September, when, after 15 years I finally become an Australian citizen. I will finally say they have got it right, so to you

Ya' all wrong. It's to d*** hot to be spring, fall, or any other season for that matter.
Itz summah baby and it's haot as a mug.
I do wuv spwing doh.
It gives off a touchey feely emotion that you only get after you learn a new move.
But i love winter, in all it's darkness and splendour, dampness, and frezzing temps.
Course i love bad, drizzly, nasty, windy dayz.
On those dayz there is no need for coffee.

Hey Bounty, options on finding out her name, well you could nick her wallet & check some ID. Or you could ask. Make a joke out of it, and say "we have been talking so long, and I seem to know a lot about you, except your name. I never asked. How silly is that?!!"

Conversation starters:

Have you ever learnt poi? (can lead to demonstrations, go the butterfly seduction move )
Have you lived in this state all your life?
If time & money were unlimited, what would you do? (T'anks Ray )

Bounty, Either look through her mail, sift through her garbage, listen in on her phone line, steal her wallet, or you could just bring a freind over and introduce him and have him ask her name...

I've pulled the last one a few times.

Well, shall we go?
Yes, let's go.

bounty, I'd post advice, but unfortunately I've grown used to standing there with a friend, and :
Hi $friend!
*Girl walks past calvran, ignoring him completely.*
I guess I could like, go around stealing from a womens convention or something, because I can manage to be totally ignored!
Oh, and asking the name is only a bad thing after you've already asked and forgotten it about 3 or 5 times.

the hot & the cold are both YOURS now, they are the seasons of your land, reaching through your skin, your tendons, your limbs, your breathing muscles, and caressing your heart.

teehee, thanks!!!

I was, & still am, a pom. I have dual citizenship. I am not a particularly nationalistic person, so I already have that feeling of belonging to the warm and cold. It doesn't suite me completely, being a little fair-skinned red head, but I am not sure would survive the cold in the UK anymore...

If you don’t mind some advice from an old warhorse who shoots from the hip…The “what’s you name by the way?” question would probably be a winner!
Follow up questions are better if they require an open ended response, “So, what did you do at the weekend?” is better than “have you always lived in this state?”, which can be answered with a yes/no.

If you get very short answers anyway, then assume she’s not interested and move on to someone with more sense.

If she just moved, she’s probably feeling a bit unbalanced and would welcome a friendly face, knowing that be confident, and be nice. Don’t use my advice to follow the Dark Side

Never guess I studied psychology for way too long…and it’s my last day at work

Rozi

(can lead to demonstrations, go the butterfly seduction move)

Haahahahah LMFAO

I don’t know if you just made up that name, but I’m so impressed! I love it! I have an exact mental picture of the move from only the name! I think you should be in charge of totally renaming all the moves on the techie section.

Vote Rozi!!
