there's a massive virus going around on msn that apparently blocks the user's use of msn from his account on his pc, it then eats away at your hard drive deleting random files

so dont accept anything from anyone on msn
especially if its around 150-200kb big

i felt i had to warn all you lovely poiple here on hop

Probably not specifically true. MSN has apparently been having trouble for a couple of days so this may be somebody using that as a way of getting people paranoid when they can't sign in.

That said, viruses can easily be spread by all file transfer systems, including MSN, ICQ, etc... so don't start running files from just anyone and anywhere!

check this for hoax's, its quite good I think!!

I check it whenever I get chain mails and warnings.. most I then reply saying it's a hoax, at least it stops a bit of them annoying mails!!!!

its simple unless you have asked for a file or its not from a friend, or they cant explain what it is....

dont pick it up anyways, virus or not, its common sence!

me and my friends used to sub7 each other using msn to give out files, and then they would double click it and get sub7'd.....

its a silly prank but funny

sub 7 was an old prog used by novice hackers, to hack into peoples machines and then manipulate their machines

its usage got so bad at one point that phone companies where threatebning to cut peoples phone line if they where found to be using it

you would send someone a file disguised as a movie file, or a picture, it would come up with a coppuption error message, but would have left thing in your registy on yoru machine withuot you knwoing, and that would allow the sub 7 controller to get into our machine
