whats up with all the limitations?
quote:i agree with you on this one dom. personally if i were killed i wouldnt want the people i love to make things more diffacult for themselves and change there lives around because some ass flew a plane into me.. however if i was in new york i would tone it down and go with the general vibe there. you dont want to be having fun right in front of someone who is having a hard time dealing with there loss. in all fairness it did just happen a year ago. thats not somthin you get over quickley. i love my country and feel great sorrow for there loss but we cant let it break our spirits thats what those cowards want.
Personally I believe if anyone who thinks it's disrespectful to have fun on Sept 11th the sometimes painful fact is that life goes on and the living need to keep living. There's better ways to live life and create something positive from loss than sulking and being miserable

Here's another question for you..
Do you show as much remorse and sadness over the 4000 deaths of 9-11 as you do for the millions of deaths in WW1 on 11-11 (memorial day)?

I think any group spin might benefit from a moment of silence and togetherness before and/or after the spin.
I see the moment of silence as a symbol of sadness, paying respect to those we lost, and a promise to never forget.
But I see the spinning as a symbol of our resolve to triumph over these evil acts, to pick ourselves up, and to press onwards. I also see it as a celebration of life. It's a great day to look inwards and realize how lucky we are to be alive.
Yes, keep it somber, keep it respectful, and definately keep it sober. But remember the lesson of the phoenix.
"Dancing can reveal all the mystery that music conceals"
~Charles Baudelaire
The answer is never the answer. What's really interesting is the mystery. If you seek the mystery instead of the answer, you'll always be seeking. I've never seen anybody really find the answer-- they think they have, so they stop thinking. But the job is to seek mystery, evoke mystery, plant a garden in which strange plants grow and mysteries bloom. The need for mystery is greater than the need for an answer.-- Ken Kesey

quote:what the hell does that have to do with this thread you fool. i think there are about a million aids foundations and days that we recognize people who have died of aids. thats a completely different thing. everyone suffers from aids its not an attack on a nation its a disease you tard. we were viciously attacked for being americans. as far as africas extreme aids epidemic goes. well ya thats real sad. the whole world tries to help them but there own goverments arnt doing anything about the problem. its not americas fault they have an aids epedemic. please dont even get me started about there starvation. americans more then anyone else have tried to supply food for the people of africa. guess what happens when we bring them food. warlords attack us and there own people and steal the food. i do feel for those people but theres no reason to point fingers at us like we dont have anything to be sad about... you ass!!
How about all the people dying of AIDS, starvational, poor sanitation not to mention the people who lives are destroyed by IMF and WTO "investments". The average life expectantcy of people in Africa is meant to drop to 38 pretty soon.
These things bring tears to my eyes, the fact that that Bill Gates motherfucker could end third world poverty and pestilence with a few days interest from his giant pile of cash.
If you listen hard enough you can hear the wealthy powerfull's west big fat belly slapping agaist the undernourished boney back of the third world.
