So, to save people reading through 38 pages of waffle...

This event will commence with people arriving on the Thursday evening (hopefully) and go until either the sunday or the monday depending how people feel. The 27th is the Sunday, so I guess the dates for the whole thing are 24th - 28th March

Prices are:

Tents:

£4.50 per adult per night

£1.50 per kid per night (4-14)

There are dorm rooms in a barn for £15 per adult per night and family rooms for £40 for the whole room. The barn requires deposits of £20 pp. No deposit is required for campers.

cole why dont you leave it a night, and then drive down really early fri morning?

because then i will be knackered all day friday.

if i get there thursday night, i can sleep until lunchtime on the friday and at least be fresh for the rest of the evening smile

putting me tent up at night isn't a problem - we have the moon to help us and i have a feeling there will be quite a bit of space anyway...

so, does anyone know what the deal is for entry to the campsite late on thursday or should i just ring them and find out?

I just spoke to Durbs and he said that the site reception will be closed then, but we can still pitch.

If you're still a bit unsure, phone and ask.

As for light, I'm sure there'll be some very helpful cars with head-lights or even some torch carrying people...

Reminds me, I must have a practice run of putting up tent.. It's a brand new one so I need to see how it works before attempting it in the dark...

umm

that's weird cos you put it up for me at glastonbury (which i was *very* appreciative of , despite the upcoming character assasination wink) and when i got there, i found the outer tent resting against the back quarter of the inner tent.
i had to take the outer tent off, re-peg the inner tent and then repeg the outer tent.

were you testing your blindfold hypothesis at glastonbury by any chance...?

if so, you better stop standing by that satement and reconsider tongue

but you can fill a sigg bottle like no man i've ever met, i'll give you that wink

Right, i've changed my mind. I don't want you f*ckers coming down here and ruining our vibe! mad2

ubblol Just kidding. bounce

It feels like Christmas eve, i bet i don't sleep tonight! I'm gonna ring the site and just remind them that we're on our way, then i guess I'll see all you guys tomorrow. The weather today is very nice, but we're predicted rain on thurs, sat and mon, with sun on the even days. Kinda strange, but there you are, we have more weather in Cornwall.

Once UCOF and the train gang have arrived and we've had a cup of tea and a couple of bifters I'm gonna be gone to the campsite, so my mobile probably won't work. You can try and ring anyway/ smile Just in case everyone's missed it, the number is 07929 611696, and feel free to call if you've ANY questions at all.

Sweet. Take it easy all, and drive safe.

The only important thing I can think of is that if we turn up late at night we can get the cars onto the site and pitch the tent. If we can do that I'm as happy as a scatophile running round naked in the manure barn biggrin

cole, he says we can pitch, not that we can get cars onsite. The lane is pretty skinny and I don't know how many can park up there without blocking everything off.
