Apparently this is an IQ test given to employees in Japan:
"Everybody has to cross the river".

The following rules apply:
- Only 2 persons on the raft at a time
- The father can not stay with any of the daughters without their mother's presence
- The mother can not stay with any of the sons without their father's presence
- The thief (striped shirt) can not stay with any family member if the Policeman is not there
- Only the Father, the Mother and the Policeman know how to operate the raft

To start click on the big blue circle on the right.
To move the people click on them.
To move the raft, click on the red circles.

Have fun trying!!!

The "wolf" thing refers to another version of the test involving a farmer, some chickens, some sheep, and a wolf (or something along those lines)

"I know a good deal more than a boiled carrot."
"Fire!" "Where?" "Nowhere, I was just illustrating the misuse of free speech."

Cool, complete, the trick is to kick the thief overboard half way across ubblol

The version I remember was alot quicker and easier:
1 Farmer, 1 Chicken, 1 bag of grain and a eek.. can't remember, but when left by the farmer, the chicked eats the grain, and the eek eats the chicken. The farmer is only one who can row the boat... but I'd like to see the chicken try... and can only take 2 things.
.
TO solve the problem, theres only really one move each time each time (I think), and dont' repeat the move back... nah, that can't be right, ..... i dunno...... ubbloco

I used to be indecisive, but I'm not so sure now.....

What is psychology?- Looking for a black cat in a dark room. What is psychoanalysis? Psychoanalysis is looking for a black cat in a dark room -- in which there is no cat -- but finding one anyway.

It's interesting because it's quite easy really, but your brain doesn't think ahead to what they could lead to when considering seemingly pointless steps.

It's the same logic as all of those type puzzles. I'd never seen one this complicated but got it fairly quickly because I was familiar with the other ones.

I guess you could just have thousands of people on the shore and keep using the same logic to get them all across.

Well, shall we go?

On a similar note, I never think those things are good IQ tests because you can do them quicker if you've seen stuff like them before.

I think I get them quickly not because I'm smarter, but because I used to do puzzles like that as a kid. I don't know how long it would take to get it if I'd never seen anything like it before.

Well, shall we go?
Yes, let's go.
