We have 4 citronella bamboo flare things and I'm having a party tonight, last minute I discovered we were out of citronella. Mum went down the street but couldn't find any, most things are shut around 7pm Sundays.
Anyway, does kerosene do the same job as the citronella?

i'm not sure what citronella is, but check teh lable on the jar and compare it to the lable on the kero, they're probably made of about the same stuff. it'll probably work even if they're not, i've seen torches that use kero

too late now, but yes - kero will do the job. It just won't smell as nice.
