juggle weavesmiley Manchester Spinner’s Meet up and stuff weavesmiley juggle

Hi all If you are looking for people to spin poi with in the North west this is the place to be.

For any one new to this sight DON’T READ THE WHOLE THREAD it has been going a long time and contains lots of old information and chat about previous meet ups and organisation stuff just go to the last few posts to find out the most up-to-date information on current events.

First a bit of info the Manchester spinners lot is no professional spinning troop or organised events it is just a group of people who get together to enjoy themselves. The first meet up was organised way beck in September 04 https://delizium.fotopic.net/c291964.html

The crowd has changed a bit from back then but we have kept a few old timers we welcome all along to come and join us for a spin whether you be experienced or a complete beginner we are willing to teach and learn from you.

Their is no set time for the meet ups they are usually organised around when people can make it and how long they can stay.

I will try to update this first post as often as I can with the most up-to-date info on meet ups and club nights that allow spinning but if I'm being a bit lax just find the last few posts foe up-to-date info (like I said before weren’t you paying attention)

To date the standard meets have gone as meet up in Piccadilly gardens at 4pm (nice central point where every one can get to) Then move on down to the Gas Works/CastleField or Plat fields Park depending on the wether till everyone gets to cold/tired/burned then on to the pub

( anybody who doesn’t know where this is it can be arranged for someone to come meet you at the train station or wherever you are coming from .) smile

{ ubblove We are a nice bunch like that ubblove}

Accommodation for a night can usually be arranged but you need to sort this well in advance no just turning up expecting somewhere to sleep eek

(more to be added and all to be spell checked soon)

pm me any info you would like to add

before i met those lot i thought they'd be a bunch of dreadlocked hippies that smoked, set things on fire ,and drank a lot of tea but then when i met them....oh wait (PyroWill)

I'm going to Nairn then. So the 25th is good for me.

But what are the actual chances of Will actually turning up anyway? You promised last time and then at the last second claimed your imaginary girlfriend was too water-soluble for you to come out and play.... if she's imaginary then you could just pretend she's in the car all meet rolleyes

Or do what Pete did when Kayte came out to a meet, find a pretty, interesting, funny and deeply interesting girl and pay her £500 to pretend to be your girlfriend for the day. Alarmingly it fools everyone...
eek

rolleyes hug

By the way, Nate getting thrown out of the pub was the funniest thing I've seen in ages biggrin ubblol
I like how they sent the youngest member of the barstaff over to do it too smile Sheer class. ubbangel

Gah, if the next one is set for the 25th, I'm not going to be there. Uncle is having his 50th party at an Italian that evening. I might be able to make a few hours at a stretch, depending on when the meal is.

Guess I'll keep an eye out for the one following, unless people decide to meet up before the 25th some time?

the 25th sounds good ubbrollsmile

We are the music makers, We are the dreamers of dreams,
Wandering by lone sea-breakers, And sitting by desolate streams;
World-losers and world-forsakers, On whom the pale moon gleams;
We are the movers and shakers of the world for ever, it seems.

Nothing interesting. Lou tried to start a mosh pit, but failed. Had a bit of a boogie, the band that invited us over were dull, so we went home. Pfff
smile

I believe that bit off boogie ended up with you dropping me on my head!ubbloco
But still we made it look good!
And the singer of that band he did look like my friends sister!biggrin
Still cant tink of that tune either!

Hey all!

That singer had man nips. What man boobs get like if you've been breastfeeding.

Either that, or he had them pierced. And no comments from the gays about me paying attention to his breasts...

The band that invited us weren't all that bad really. The lead singer just happened to be singing a wildly different (and far whinier) song from that which the rest of the band were playing. Making the overall effect something of a disappointment.

If they shoot him - or throw him off the top of that spiral staircase - and find someone else, everyone will be a dang site happier I reckon smile

This one isn't imaginary this time! At least I dont think so, she's squidgy if you poke her, and she has something to say: "500 POUNDS!! I'm worth more than that if Will's gonna pay me"

Ho hum, so 25th it is? we'll be coming to this humdinger.

Oh and speaking of imaginary, I still haven't seen your missus Catnuts. Obviously another figment of your wild funky brain, and no other people seeing her doesn't count since they are probably imaginary too rolleyes

I for one did not imagine Pete. Although he's appeared in one or two nightmares since I met met him. Usually with some barbed implement....

it's not my fault you were too lazy to come out and play and preferred to stay at home making up elaborate excuses about ponds and London.

ps: only mentally retarded people call me Catnuts. You'll be afflicted with a palsy/St Vitus Dance next....

After that, could we have one on the 8th? That'll be in the middle of the easter holidays, so I should at least be able to make that one! I might be able to make the 25th, but, well, you know how it is by now. I'd quite like to though, as it's also my birthday on the 29th...
