Hi all If you are looking for people to spin poi with in the North west this is the place to be.

For any one new to this sight DONT READ THE WHOLE THREAD it has been going a long time and contains lots of old information and chat about previous meet ups and organisation stuff just go to the last few posts to find out the most up-to-date information on current events.

First a bit of info the Manchester spinners lot is no professional spinning troop or organised events it is just a group of people who get together to enjoy themselves. The first meet up was organised way beck in September 04 http://delizium.fotopic.net/c291964.html
br>
The crowd has changed a bit from back then but we have kept a few old timers we welcome all along to come and join us for a spin whether you be experienced or a complete beginner we are willing to teach and learn from you.

Their is no set time for the meet ups they are usually organised around when people can make it and how long they can stay.

I will try to update this first post as often as I can with the most up-to-date info on meet ups and club nights that allow spinning but if I'm being a bit lax just find the last few posts foe up-to-date info (like I said before werent you paying attention)

To date the standard meets have gone as meet up in Piccadilly gardens at 4pm (nice central point where every one can get to) Then move on down to the Gas Works/CastleField or Plat fields Park depending on the wether till everyone gets to cold/tired/burned then on to the pub

( anybody who doesnt know where this is it can be arranged for someone to come meet you at the train station or wherever you are coming from .) smile

{ ubblove We are a nice bunch like that ubblove}

Accommodation for a night can usually be arranged but you need to sort this well in advance no just turning up expecting somewhere to sleep eek

(more to be added and all to be spell checked soon)

pm me any info you would like to add

before i met those lot i thought they'd be a bunch of dreadlocked hippies that smoked, set things on fire ,and drank a lot of tea but then when i met them....oh wait (PyroWill)

I'm up for being in the park all weekend always so I'm sure i can stretch to putting up with you Lynn and if you need a place to stay i live v close to town.

Lynne and Gayle will stay nowhere unless it's with me!!! that way even if the meet isn't 2 days, our fun will be biggrin

Mill - didn't you say you were going to look into the Scout camp? that looked fab/ideal and would enable us to open up the invite to many more....

Gazza, you're so right it would be better to have a nice little local manc meet sometime soon, but there's such a rush of stuff we all want to go to at weekends and come the beginning of November there won't be anything so we wanna make the best of it! So stick with us, keep watching the thread - try and make the Liverpool one if you can cos that will be lots of new peeps (Saturday 1st) and all the Manc people will sort out travelling and meeting up and stuff (Liquid Bubblegum's dead good for that)

OK, let's try and get something straight enough for people to read....

These are all the things going on, not everyone from Manc is going to them so there's nothing to say there can't be a meet then, just many of us won't be there.

23rd-25th Sept BJC - Jen, Mill, Ro, me, Cantus?
1st Oct is Liverpool - ALL OF US!!
8th/9th Oct is Nottingham (jenna's bday and Tobi's but he can't be there) - Jen, Mill, Ro, me, Cantus?
14th, 15th or 16th Oct is MANCHESTER (yay!) and Tobi's bday. Day TBC pending who can come when...
22nd/23rd oct Nothing on!!!! Phew a rest!
29th/30th Oct Sheffield PiP - anyone going?
5th Nov Gayle's Bday in Bath, Mill, Ro, me, Cantus?

So Froggie, Hanky, Gayle and Skully plus Will and anyone else who wants to meet in Manchester that can't make 14th-16 th Oct or wants to come earlier....

the dates you can pitch for are *drum roll...... symbal clash*

9th-11th Sept (this weekend) - oh bum, think that's Nuneaton??
16th-18th Sept - Skully's at Cardiff, anyone else?

Will likes it to be either Fri or Sun cos he works Sat, Gayle and Skully need Sat pref as they both work

my god, how did it all get so complicated??!!!

But hey, it's always worth it weavesmiley juggle ubblove ubblove

Right... So, I am thinking that I could perhaps do the Liverpool meet (given that EVERYBODY is going) And I would probably drive, which means I could give people free lifts if they want? Or, given that I am RUBBISH at directions, if everyone is going by train, I'll go by train... I'll never get there if I drive on my own! ubbrollsmile

And...

I will definitely do the Manchester meet which ever day it falls on... I am going to rely on Jen to make sure that I don't crumble and chicken out as she has been sooper lovely and added me to her msn and everything *Thank you Jen... REALLY appreciated* thankx

So, where IS the Liverpool meet, and should I do the car or train thing??

Its seems Elaine has said I'm off to well, everywhere I wish i could come to the Bjc but know nothing about it well bar what it stands for and the dates (I must investigate, now where is that trilby?)

I will be at/in Liverpool but are we returning on the day?
Nottingham I will be at but will be leaving for Sheffield early Sunday for Monster at Gatecrasher.
And then back to sheffield for Pip

Guys if i get my ass in gear and sort this scoutsite out(they said yes by the way but dont know the full extent of hoppers mentality yet) when would you like it? I'm going to ask when no scouts are booked on site so we can be as Hoppish as we like and we have more chance of getting the hut that has loads of bunk beds and a full kitchen so all the people who dont like camp cooking and tents can stay in there.

Elaine - can we stay with you, honey??

so Tobi, what's the plan?

Please can add an idea??? Rather than spinning ALL weekend, i'd like to get to know most of you away from spinning. I was thinking, maybe on the friday night we could go into town for a few beerchug and a disgustingly good takeaway to reward my efforts of driving through Birmingham during rush hour. Then on Sat, we have a jolly good spin - maybe some fire??

Then Sunday we leave..... frown

Don't know if this is how you work up there so let me know!
