FF, we all know that what you blow has nothing to do with san andreas

We are the music makers, We are the dreamers of dreams,
Wandering by lone sea-breakers, And sitting by desolate streams;
World-losers and world-forsakers, On whom the pale moon gleams;
We are the movers and shakers of the world for ever, it seems.

Very true, Vixen.

Also, try writing what you are stressed about in a journal. It often helps just to get the stressful event out in the open; then, you can figure out how to get a handle on it.

I've been known to curl up with a good book or pull out my sewing machine and start making something. If you are in a time crunch (i.e. you are stressed because you left writing a paper until the last minute), try forming an outline of the important steps you need to get done, and take joy in crossing them off one by one as you get stuff done.

Poi is the ultimate stress relief for me. Just simple stuff, moving around inside the weaves, windmills and stuff... easy flow. So calming.

That's why I do poi primarily, to escape from stress!

the first thing i do when i realise i'm stressed is try to slow down my breathing. If we breathe like we're being chased by a lion, our bodies release adrenalin, our heartbeat increased, etc. which is great if you're being chased by a lion, but not cool if you're just wound up.

i also like writing, cos it clears things up in my head, and lets me see what's really bothering me. Puts things into perspective.

...hahaha, only joking. If you were to get scientific about it I would say do some exercise as it releases endorphins into the blood which make you happy.
But if im super stressed I find it good just to whack some music on and lie on my back and just think about stuff shrug

Watching something funny on TV will do it too! biggrin
