I've always called them airwrap wristwraps. I like the bit where you bounce them a couple of times in the same tangle - very nice.

link wraps..

given how fluid you are with them, you should try the fun stuff.. think of the poihead<-> link <-> poihead as a stick.. and use your arms as two other sticks.. and start playing with the tangle like a devil stick.. bounce the poi between your wrists like you were, but you can also deflect them to different axi.. horizontal for instance.. just keep an eye on whihc direction you're going so it doesnt untangel before you want it to or come twist up too much..

everyone seems to be coming up with different names for this trick ahhhh, well Rev, i am working on a hyperloop combo to link butterfly to a mexican weave/corkscrew maybe depeding if i can reverse the rotation of one of my poi. The hyperloop writs wrap in this is horizontal and can be achieved by during the butterfly when they are on their downward decent bring your elbos into their paths on either side, when they stall on your elbos, pull your hands to the balls but still be holding the sock then do the hyperloop in the air, they should be a little tangled in the middle so you can achieve this <--- just realized that definition got really bad, ill take video when i can actually finish off the trick smile

Cool, smooth but would have been better if you were in some light so we could see you, silouette doesn't really work for close body tricks wink Especially as it was obviously such a sunny day

Oh and my vote is airwarap wristwrap smile

Call it what you will names dont really matter.. I only called it a link wrap some glokids and some other circles call them link wraps.. along with link catches.. the thing that I was telling you about works if you get used to doing the link catches too.. spin the tangle and bring your handsto the center some.. this makes the poi get longer and slwos them down.. and you can catch them out hte air instead of wrap.. this helps because form there, you get the timing to tap/slap the poi heads around.. you can change their timing direction and axi.. but you have to be comfortable with your knowledge of tangles..

have fun.. whatever you call it wink

edit: right click, save as (yes me)

this is a clip of a spinnning tangle turn.. but you can use the motions and use taps to change it those directions.. I don't have a clip othe actual taps.. unfortunately.. and this is old..

Yeah, moves like this dont really have a "name" but rather a combination of descriptive terms that best suit it. However, everyone's terminology is different when it comes to this, theres no real universal naming system. Also, considering poi moves are infinate, it would be impossible to give every move its own speciffic name.

Anyway, I would also call them air wrap wrist wraps. Ive been doing a bit of them myself lately. One kinda neat one Ill recommend is the single arm double wrap version. Its done the same way except both poi wrap on one arm in split time and with a twist of the wrist, they both come back out in split time.

pretty much what you just called it, bouncing back and forth, or perhaps clockwise/anticlockwise or forwards/backwards it doesn't make much differnce really. The name is enough to explain it me thinks

you need something that either creates a lot of friction (socks) or something that has a lot of weight in order to get enough force to maintain the axis which gives you torque enough to adjust the axis of the poi like you would a stick..

now as far as what I was saying about the taps though... those can be done with any poi (unlit of course wink ) the only trick there is getting comfortable with maintaining the tangle while moving your hands.. by that I mean keeping the same diameter poi head to poi head.. or fluid control of shrinking and expanding them.. (which in my opinion is one of the many pimp things about poi..) and you can mix a few tap backs like in spacecows clip, and or a few spins between some of them too... lots of fun, but the timing takes a while.. but I can't free hand, and I'm sure that would be helpful...
