Come join us on the beach at Shorncliffe for a fun & constructive afternoon of staff & poi spinning...*
Sunday 30th January
4:30-7:30pm
Lower Moora Park, off Park Parade, Shorncliffe (moonfest site)
bookings absolutely essential, but payment is fine on the day
Full 3hr workshop $25 (all inclusive)
...to give you a rough idea of format, we will start with poi (chains) spinning for the first hour, move on to staff (fire stick) and then spend that last part of the workshop, from around dusk, learning about & experiencing twirling with fire.
All equipment is provided (practise & fire toys), as well as safety notes.
The workshop will be suitable for both people who have never done any twirling before, and those who might have learnt just a few tricks or are teaching themselves...
The teachers have been twirling for 9 years and teaching for about 8 of those.. they have written two books on twirling technique and perform full time with their group "Phoenix Fire Tribe".
