I thought you would like the name.

What is the best pastry cake or just plane cake anyone has ever eaten?

Mine would have to be a pastry based caked with a thick rich caramel custard in the center with sugar coated pastry on top, topped off with cream and cherries. The best cake i have ever eaten. ubbrollsmile

(Sighs) This thread had so much potential given that title. ubbcrying

Best cake I've had is probably the Sex Cake at the local MCDP. Is just pure unadulterated chocolate goodness, which when desperately single and alone is a fitting substitute for sex. Also, it tastes like a slive of heaven after it as well. wink

So yes. Best cake I've had is sex cake, which tasts as good as it sounds. ^_^

Used to have a soft-spot for blueberry filled doughnuts with white icing on the top with further blueberry, but they don't seem to exist anymore.

Could really go for one now.

(Scowls) Damn you.

Date and walnut slice ubblove
Tastes better than it sounds. Pastry stuff, then muched up dates and walnuts, another layer of pastry stuff, thick white icing, then chocolate and walnuts dribbled on the top. yummo

chai cake sounds great!
i'm a big fan of the good ol sticky date pudding. Although there's always someone who makes the obligatory "ah, nothin like a sticky date, geddit? geddit?" jokes.
