I know pride is a sin and all that stuff but I don't care...I am so excited I could burst so I thought I would share with my beloved HoPpers.

I just got my own theater!!!!!

Yup, you heard me. After almost 13 years as a professional performer. After years of writing for others. Directing shows for hire. Costuming and designing my shows and taking them where ever would have them, hoping someone would want them....

I HAVE MY OWN PLACE!

I never have to fear what the producer will think, or what the director will cut, or if funding will come through.

I only have to worry about getting the place made over (a HUGE task that will take months and probably put me in the poor house -again- for awhile) and I fear the first year, which is when new ventures tend to bomb.

But what I have in my favor is that absolutely none of the shows are traditional theater. They are all something not seen either before or in this area, so I have novelty on my side to get people there and once there....they will just have to fall in love. I won't give them a choice!

...And it is one more step to my ultimate dream of owning a diverse theatrical complex.

Anyway, it won't even be close to open until mid to late April. It won't be fully redecorated until much later in the year (dependent on funding) but I needed to simply spread my joy.

1 of my New Years Resolutions off my tick list!
