For a change I'm actually impressed by the questions on this, although I slightly disagree with some of the answers as there is no "middle ground"

Aparently , my type is "big thinker"

I am spontaneous not a planner (which could be aproblem as I'm a planner for a living! ubblol)

I am an Ideas, not a Facts person.

I am a Head, not a Heart person

I am an Extrovert, not an Introvert.

anyway, personality tests are for weirdos....enjoy! wink

hmmm...this one seems to be geared towards a UK person. What are the different degree levels? Is GCSE level higher or degree level higher? I've got the highest available in the states, so I figured I'd put the highest available in the UK, but I have no clue what the ones mentioned are.

Apparently. Bit upset I didn't get performer smile

I reckon I'm a bit close to the border on the facts/ideas front. Interesting, that one.

Yeah, Dunc, you're meant to be planning Play and you're not a "planner"? Oh dear oh dear... biggrin

You take GCSE's at 15/16 years old. A level is college - 18 years roughly can't remember what else there was on there!

Spritie, you'll have a degree.

GCSE's are the lowest- taken when you're 16.
A-levels are taken at 18, and are the exams you need to do well in to get to the university of your choice, where you get your degree

In the occupation bit, they don't have anything that remotely matches my usual job. I just put 'education and training', but that's not at all what I do.
I don't think that section really matters for the test though.

I'm apparently a Strategist.

Yeah I know, I plan in my spare time to get (PLAY Fest) going good and I am gainfully employed as a planner.....but it does say I'm an ideas man which is actually a bit nearer the truth.....perhaps an ideas man but with logic too! biggrin

ok well I got the result of 'big thinker'

"Summary of Big-Thinkers

Ther is no suggested career for me it just says

"The entrepreneurial spirit of the Big Thinkers often leads them to seek new challenges; this is often more important to them than working in a particular field or a specific career."

In other words I'm a bit of a dreamer thats flaky but self-contained! I guess thats about right!

Your answers suggest you are a Supervisor

The four aspects that make up this personality type are:
Summary of Supervisors

* Bring order to their home and work life
* Like to act on clear, achievable goals
* Think of themselves as stable, practical and sociable
* May be irritated when people don't follow procedures

Supervisors like to make plans, organise people and get things done efficiently. They are natural administrators who dislike chaos and strive to bring order to every aspect of their lives. Supervisors like jobs where the goals are clearly defined and there are proven work methods in place.

"Supervisors are most likely to say they prefer a job which involves a series of separate projects, according to a UK survey."

Supervisors use logic to solve problems and believe in being open and direct in their communications with others. They prefer to work and socialise with like-minded people.
In situations where they can't use their talents or are unappreciated, Supervisors may reject the opinions of others and insist they are right. Under extreme stress, Supervisors may feel cut off from the people around them and lose confidence in their own ability to cope.Because they like to take charge and organise activities, others may find Supervisors too bossy. Supervisor Careers. Supervisors are often drawn to jobs in management or administration that require logical planning.

Summary of Strategists

Quiet, easy-going and intellectually curious
Use logical, objective thinking to find original solutions to problems
Think of themselves as bright, logical and individualistic
May be impractical, forgetting practical issues, such as paying bills or doing the shopping

this is similar in some respects to the myers briggs personality inventory,

Other psych tests to look at, MMPI, (minisota multiphasic personality inventory) although I'm not sure it's still available online, I took part in the norm referencing for this instrument. The Myers briggs was removed due to copyright issues, although you can still find the Kiersy temprement sorter, very similar, although not so sensitive as MBTI,

Either way I come out as being

highly introverted

thinking

Percieving

Intuitive

Idealist

Spontanious, ideas, hearts, introvert

Idealists put time and energy into developing personal values that they use as a guide through life. They may seek fulfilment by helping others improve themselves and often want to make the world a better place. Idealists only share their inner values with people they respect.

Idealists enjoy discussions about a wide range of topics, particularly those that deal with the future. They are typically easy-going and flexible, but if their values are challenged they may refuse to compromise.

In situations where they can’t use their talents or are unappreciated, Idealists may have trouble expressing themselves and withdraw. Under extreme stress, Idealists may become very critical of others, or lose confidence in their own ability to cope.

Recognition for their work is important to Idealists; however, they are also good at spotting false praise.
