yep, american beer is foul. I had to drink a bottle of Samuel Adams once (pretty sure it was american) out of politeness and politics (rowing/private school politics - very nasty!).

it was yucky, icky, yucky stuff.

VB, urgh... charlton... bbbarth.... Toohey's new footinmouth .... sorry shrug, besides that, goon was very cheap clap bounce (which us backpackers ubblove!!!)

I used to be indecisive, but I'm not so sure now.....

Tis true - the guiness you get in the states is thin and bitter compared to what you get in Dublin.

Generally, the closer you get to the brewery, the better it is - Guiness in England is better than in the states, but not as good as in, say, Galway, and the best guiness comes strait from the brewery me thinks.
