Tiny thing but had fun at Southern Lights balancing a staff verticlly on my thumb (arms 45 degrees up) then just letting it drop into an angel roll.

well I did say it was a small thing.... but I liked it

I'd rather go Poi with myself!

Ooooh, can we get that one on video? How the hell is that supposed to work? I always kindave thought headrolls would work best from a globetrotter.

went to Play as a beginner, came back with some contact moves pinned down and more to practice smile

sneakily watched Flame Boy teach someone five beat weave with a staff, got that pinned smile And also learnt SNES and halos from him in workshops. Got to work on Jesus and the variations of things like that.
Cheers to SpankDonkey for showing me the basics of fishtails to smile I'll have them sorted by Christmas!

Fingers crossed, I'll be confident enough to start double staff when I move up to Stoke in September!

Yay for PLaY...
got a lot of things I couldn't/never contemplated yet:
Halo, 360 Halo, Jesus, SNeS (and some variants, inc Jesus SNeS), Some new doubles throws, flower things, and much more that I'm already forgetting (Many thanks to Flameboy)

Cleaned up a bit on a few things already could do, but still not joined up my matrices cleanly/regularly yet

managed (messy) full steves for 1st time too
and pretty happy with continuous 1/2's

like I said prolly lots more besides, that my brain's melting out of my head already...

and played with other non-stick-shaped toys too eek

a full steve goes up and down both arms with no gripping, so round neck up arm, round wrist back down arm (inside) and across thoat up other arm (on inside) then back down again and repeat biggrin I got a good few revolutions of that on the saturday when I was in full staff mode.

half steve is only using the outside of the arm I think or just going down one arm and up the other.

i got fishtails!! do you know how long it's taken me to finally get them!! granted it's only backwards and only on my right hand but i'm still very happy! biggrin and thank you to those who taught me many new contact staff moves at Play - you're alll stars hug my matrix is coming along nicely! and Sandy, if you read this, i did a steve without wacking myself in the head! a triumph i feel smile i'm hoping to nail most of the rest of my new moves for falmouth - can't wait!
