When did this start happening,
15000 users,
It seemed like just a year ago when the highest online was like 50 users and then I was having a browse last night and it's 450+ users online. Even now theres loads. Impressive number crunching by hop biggrin

I just noticed that too...right now, there's been 456 users online in the past 10 minutes. The majority of them being anonymous. Amazing. I'd also be inclined to think the masses aren't from the states (it's only 7:40am right now where I am). It'd be interesting to know how they found the place or what they were initially looking for.

Inktomi/Yahoo has taken to spidering using hundreds of different IP addresses in multiple blocks (mainly in the 68.142.249/250/251.* blocks) and so web stats and things like the who's online functionality here is showing a lot more than it should.



Later or tomorrow I'll change the page to block these numbers.

That was a manual clearing - the real numbers now are about 20/40 registered/anonymous.
