It made me laugh... I never go there... and now I know why... it seems to be a swamp of misplaced posts and threads.

Maybe there are one or two that actually have to do with the Spinning Cross Continental Relay (I spun those poi years ago. Weren't they retired in the HoP museum or something?!)

Is there still a HoP Cross Continental Relay? And who are all the people posting random threads in that forum? Are any of them NEAR topic? It seems that it has turned into an "I don't understand the 'meet others' function" forum.

Go look. You'll laugh. biggrin

Well, shall we go?
Yes, let's go.

Hmmm.

The Dutch thread turned up there by accident (yes, they do happen), but that thread has managed to bring loads of people together... people who aren't in either the UK, US, Oz or NZ (yes, those people do exist).

So I don't see much of a problem. shrug
Does it personally offend you NYC?!
(sorry if you really did think it was funny - though American humour must be quite different from Irish! - but that post did come across as sarcastic)

You might want to reword your post Ms Poise as you come across sounding quite nasty to Mr NYC. And thats not very friendly now is it? tongue hug2

Sarcastic or nay, NYC seems to have a point.

The last post that i could find pertaining to the relay kit is from April 2004...

an entire misguided forum soaking up valuable bandwidth.... nope can't see a problem with that either! shrug

I'm not offended by anything or anyone concerning the Dutch thread! I don't see it as a problem.

I was only laughing at the pure randomness of all of the posts on there.

I'm not complaining or whining or even suggesting changing anything. It just struck me as funny in that it was like a forum of lost threads.

Well, shall we go?
Yes, let's go.

i am a dutch poier as well and i wouldnt have looked if it wasnt pointed out, but anyway, what started like the question if there where any dutch poiers grew into the "dutch meet up headquarters", quite amazing for such an innocent first post to do wink

Well spotted. Yes, it's gone. It wasn't being used for anything other than misplaced 'Meet Others' postings. So Malcolm has axed it from the site.

no, it hasen't been kicked off the site, just moved to the gatherings section, where it belongs...
and before you all start slagging off the dutch in these forums, we do have the most well placed, well organised post ever in the "meet others" section so tongue to you!!! maybe all of you native english speakers could learn something from that. and while on the subject, how do you expect us to get things like this right when you are the ones making most of the english spelling and grammatical mistakes... how do you expect us to learn?

quiz: find the mistakes in this post, and be real clever about it...
