Posted:We have beautiful summer weather at the moment (all be it British Summer so a fair ammount of rain) and I have found myself on several occasions lately wishing that it was winter so that it would be dark earlier.

Is it just me or is the addiction to fire really that strong that it could make us this dellusional (sp?)

Seriously though I think you mighta stepped off your rocker there...winter is cold-at least here in Canada-but then again the fire would keep me warm and I wouldn't have to sit here and wait for another five hours to lite up...okay so maybe you're not so crazy after all

Summer is good for warmth, and warmth maketh flames bigger.

Winter is good for dark, but cold makes the flames smaller and harder to light.

Summer has less rain, which means you can light up more often outside than in winter.

etc etc etc

seriously though I am glad I am not the only one crazy enough to be longing for the nights to draw in, as for the cold perspective, yes it did get a little cold last winter but I was just beginning and needed the fire practice

Posted:What are you saying!!!

winter is yuck! at leased here..
in the summer i dont have to wear many clothes..
in winter i do..

therefore summer is better.
sometimes it gets so cold in winter that spinning doesnt warm you up. i hate having to run for my coat after.. i also like to spin bare foot.

i like the longer days that way its still light enough when we all meet up we can swap tricks/fix wicks/etc before we spin.

Where do all these nice girls hide in the Winter - behind big baggy jumpers and overcoats

Posted:Good thing about winter? At least you know you'll have to wear a jumper everyday. At the moment you never know how cold it's going to be in 2 hours time. Another good thing, when it's winter here, it'll be summer in Australia. Quite good if you're planning a holiday down under
