Oh dear, I hope all is well.

I'm sure it is... internet connection can be non-existent in some parts of Thailand.

Best wishes

Hi Tracy, hope you're keeping well.

Like Firepoise said, internet parts of SE Asia can be virtually non-existant, but as far as I know, in Burma it IS non-existant.

Some of the larger hotels allow you to send an email (even these emails may be read by the government), but access to regular sites like yahoo & hotmail is restricted.

So if, like you said, he was planning a pilgrimage or retreat, then that's probably it.

I hope you hear from him soon and have a peaceful Christmas & New Year

hug

I was in contact with Cassandra on the 10th of this month by instant messenger, the evening before she was to leave for whatever. She did imply that if I wanted to contact her before the end of january (when she goes back to australia) that I would have to write a letter, so from that I am not concerned.

I'll send her an email about this just in case she does get a chance to read it.

Malcolm,
thank you so much for posting my message.. i really don't know what to say..you being the head of this clan, "HoP."
the love & caring you have shown others.. is like a good virus.. i'm glad it's contagious!

thank you for the luck & best wishes Glass.

Dom is checking with "Jools"..& trying to reach Cass & giving me the same reminders (about the lack of internet access etc.) as well as sending alot of positivity my way.

Firepoise & Faberge i had forgotten how bad it can be over there, trying to send an e-mail.hoping it goes through, & not being lost. thank you for the rational thinking, which is very encouraging.. it does help ease my mind , alot !!

Great News !!!
i just got an e-mail from Jeff!! (while i was writing this)
he just got back from Myanmar (Burma), last night , the 20th.

Faberge, you were right .. he say's , he was unable to send any e-mails, due to the ban from the government.

he's back in Bangkok! i am so thankful..

and grateful to all of you! wonderful people..the HoP clan is!!

I wish you a Very Merry Christmas & a Happy New Year!!

Hello all you beautiful people... thank you for easing the worries of my lovely mother and father.

Internet access is indeed next to non-existent in the military dictatorship of the Union of Myanmar... i am back safe in the capitalistic land of Thailand where there are 6 internet cafes per 10 meters and communication is once again established...

Wishing everyone the very best of holidays... again, thank you!!!!!!!!!

Wow
