We are having a baby. SURPRISE.

Bub is due on the 22/07/05 and we are very excited.

There have been a few complications that we werent expecting due to my previous health history and brain surgery etc, but at this stage everything is manageable.

Wow, there will need to be a section for Hoppers Babys soon!! biggrin biggrin biggrin biggrin

Hope you are up to the responsibility. Won't claim that because we all post on the same forum that I know you or your fitness as parents. Just hope you remember that you are and always will be potentially the most influential persons in the life of a human being!
Other than that..... lots of bloody hugs!

CONGRATS!!!! That's COOL!

So do you think the little one will be spinning pacifiers in the first few months?

I'm weird. Just work through that and we'll all be fine.

We are so touched by your guys lovely messages, and we are saving like mad so that when Lil'Bub is a year old we can bring them to the uk... to meet the extended family.

Arsn really wants to teach the kiddling poi, and staff straight away. I think though, we may wait until lil bub can hold their head up properly... tee hee! ubblove ubblove ubbrollsmile

WOW! That's FANTASTIC!!!

So a few Jewish traditions you should know about:

We never say the name of the baby before the baby is born. Bad luck. We give him/her a fake, temporary name to use instead. We pick a name that we'd love to give to a kid, but aren't cruel enough to. My parents called me "Luigi." My cousin was "Fletch." My niece was "Zelda." etc. It's not an exclusively Jewish tradition, so I don't know if "Bub" is yours, since it is a unique name.

We never congratulate expectant parents on a pregnancy. TERRIBLE luck. And I don't want to do that to you, of course. Congratulations come after the birth.

We never give presents before the birth. Again, bad luck.

So for now, I will wish you the best of luck for an uneventful pregnancy, an easy birth, and a healthy baby.

And I look forward to the day he's born because then I can 1) Congratulate you and 2) send a present!

And I look forward to watching him spin in about 15 years... He's gonna be awesome. weavesmiley

Hey great points Doc.. I was supposed to be Fang if I was a Boy, and Fangella if I was a girl. Lucky my mum threatened phyiscal violence, if dad called me those names.

Lil'bub is what we call baby at the moment. We even say it in an english accent. G_d knows why, we just do. Its an abbreviation for little baby.
We have some ideas for names.... but if anyone has any ideas then feel free to share, because we want an unusual, strong name with a meaning.

and what is all this 'him' stuffo? Reckon its a boy? We think a lil girl. We will be happy with whatever it is as long as its first word is "poi."

Ucof. French men do have a lot of love to share dont they? You lil sweetie.

Cantus, I shall tech the baby the importnace of not putting little Monkeys into its mouth..Think of poor bugis trying to get away from baby slobber. I do believe though, it is only right and fair that bugis offers his thumb for a little taste test. After all I imagine that sucking a thumb that tastes like bananas must be much more pleasant than sucking your own.

Im so excited and touched by all your kind words of love and support. I LOVE YOU GUYS
