Accomodation: Tregedna Farm Campsite (the other one for those of you who attended Falmouth 1 or 2)

Duration: Thursday evening - Sunday evening

Attractions: A beautiful beach, (hopefully) glorious weather, a big feckin fire, more beer and smoke than you can shake several large sticks at, and a bunch of lunatics playing with fire.

Throw in a few workshops, the obligatory 8 mile hike, and yer talkin' heaven.

For those who have not attended a Falmouth event before, there are videos of the last two here and here.

This may well be the only Falmouth event this year, as us Cornish types will all be going to the Play Festival in August - and recommend that you do too!

good clubswinging is all about grips and timing.

and yeah, i think the grips are a bitch to get the hang of too.

miss bambam can swing clubs pretty damn well and i often use them to teach poi moves cos you can spin them really slowly and stop wherever you need to.

waistwraps are a good one to learn with clubs - sorts your planes out proper.

i'll have clubs with me so i'm sure a few of us can get together and have a play.

innit (just to keep jon happy wink).

Um... I'm going to be in England for this - kind of a last minute decision... can someone PM me with details that I need so that I don't have to read 51 pages of messages? Also, isn't it a bit cold to be camping? My girlfriend and I would like to stay somewhere warm - will there be affordable accomodation in the area?

i reckon rather than volunteering bammy for teaching more workshops, we could just stick to what i said before and say that a few of us will definitely be playing with clubs at some point so we can make a random grouping and all learn together grouphug

and i'll even bring schatz with me just in case anyone fancies trying to decipher the hip spiral diagrams for me umm

It depends if we walk to the other headland again, its unlikely, but could happen! That would be the obligitory 8 mile hike. 8 miles = 1 cornish mile biggrin

The campsite to the beach isnt very far, 5 minute walk maybe.

Also, one thing that happened last year was that because about 5 of us stayed on the beach one night, everyone left the stuff they couldnt be bothered to carry and expected us to carry it all back (toys, paraffin, rubbish) PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE when you leave the beach to go back to the campsite for the night, TAKE YOUR STUFF WITH YOU! Dont just leave it for others, it's mighty rude!

Rant over biggrin

Ah, yes, well, I was INCREDIBLY p!ssed and stoned out of my tree, and don't actually remember leaving the beach (Although I do remember getting back to my tent and being called a lightweight by FNF before I passed out) - but it comes around as I did lose a fire-rope and a glow-in-the-dark juggling ball because of this ubblol

This year I will be taking less though...

No, no, don't worry Durbs... all will be well hug

I know this because every time we have a fire gathering in Ireland the weather is atrocious for every day of the week apart from the day of the gathering, when it miraculously clears up. It'll probably still be bloody freezing though eek

Ermmm... however, I'd just like to say that it's not my fault if it pisses down biggrin
