Hello, I have been working on the split time butterfly weave and still don't have it down but here is a little vid. I need to clean it up and make it tighter.

I would like to point out that while it looks nice, it's not quite a proper split-time butterfly weave - you're doing 1 beat on the same side and 3 on the other side rather than 1 and 2 just like a normal weave. I think the reason is you're sort of turning your body and adding an extra beat behind your shoulder... the hand motions need to match the regular 3 beat weave to do it "properly".

Thanks... I appreciate the tips... I don't always notice what I'm doing wrong or sometimes right. smile

It's not easy with the BF weave - I was doing exactly the same thing as you for absolutely ages before I actually counted my beats properly! smile

I can do endless beat counts on each side technicaly because I'm using a ttn motion. I can also do this all behind my back but I think I'll post more vids because I like to get feed back from people about how to improve my techniqe. smile Thanks BTW

yeah it looks like you have to concentrate on exactly what both hands are doing in split, but i bet once u start to get it, it just becomes another pattern to remember.

It's just like when you start learning the weave and you have to concentrate on keeping the "one-over-under" motion going - I find that repeating that helped me keep track of the beats while I was learning it smile
