I have been watching my COL5 dvd in Black and White and thought its was not right but looked at it anyway cause i had to watch it BUT then i looked at front cover and saw that it was color, it also reads on the spine.....NTSC......i dont know much about this but i thought the UK was ...PAL ????????
if someone could let me know that would be great.

You may need to see the settings on you DVD player, you should be able to change the settings from PAL ( UK, Australia, Europe ) to NTSC ( US and... where else I have no idea (Sorry other NTSCs') ).

this is an old old thread, but for future reference:
Just got my col2005, which played in black + whaite through both my PS2 and dvd player.
If it isnt a region problem (as arsn said),
the reason maybe that you need a 60hz TV.
alot of older TVs are 50hz and wont support the colour.
so there..
