This is my first ever video what i made all by myself

- 7.01mb

right-click the link and 'save as...'

it mainly involves stalling airwraps and airwrap stalls

and some other silly things and some stuff

Much inspiration was drawn from ucof's video 'If Thats Yer Attitude' and from Rev's video clips. You guys both rock!

This video also includes footage of my latest discovery:

Heisenbergs

This is a BRAND NEW family of moves that I have INVENTED and if ANYONE ELSE does them then they are just copying ME

tongue wink

hope you enjoy it smile

I recognise the editing software (hey, I'm a geek, that's what I do!) but I wanna know, how much practice does it take to get that far along? Keep in mind my 'poi' expirence is nil, but I'd like to get into it. weavesmiley

I'm weird. Just work through that and we'll all be fine.

Great video, I particularly like the Heisenbergs, they're very inspiring smile

But there's no sense crying over every mistake. You just keep on trying till you run out of cake.

bwahahahaaa! Heisenbergs are going to take over the world...

the trick to them is to make your hands\poi entirely uncertain of where they are\were\will be. If you concentrate hard enough then your poi will suddenly occupy every single point in the known universe. This is a "Full Heisenberg". i've only pulled it off once, but it was then erased from existence by god. i met god the other day. He was in the form of a squirrel. He told me all about John Cale and Brian Eno's secret trip to London in 1973. Rumour has it that they flew over there by flapping their arms, but according to god, this is a scurrilous fabrication.

ah ha! A practical use for f*ed up hyperloops! Have you tried it with fire?

i feel i should point out that was not a f*ed up hyperloop. It was a deliberately stalled airwrap (as taught to me by the Bovrilmonkey). It took me over 10 goddam takes before the goddam thing would stay tangled!

note: the above paragraph is actually true, not humour.

and no i haven't tried them with fire tongue But Northern Adam challenged me to do that same crossarm climbthru holding either end of a juggling club a while back. i almost did it, but pulled a musce in my arm right at the end, and couldn't spin for over a week. It's much much easier with tangled poi.

Hey! I remember playing with the negative space moves at Spitz... was that the genesis of negative space?

I wonder if that could be mixed with some other moves... hmm...

Negative Space as a juggling concept has been around much longer than that spitz. Negative Space as an artistic concept is much older than the juggling uses.

Hmm, having said that, there were almost certainly jugglers doing negative space tricks long before artists used the term Negative Space that jugglers later stole to try to make their tricks that (arguably) use negative space seem cooler.

um

but yeah, that neg space move did come out of the stuff from that session at spitz (much credit again to Bovrilmonkey for the idea). It doesn't have a name...

i might call it Ayame. Ayame's a pretty name.
