Dear God... I'm addicted to Crumpets, or "Crumpies" as they're known to myself and fellow "Crumpaholics".

Crumpaholism is a terrible thing. I don't know what time of day or night it is, as long as I have a bit of butter and a pack of 12p for 8 ASDA Crumpies.

Does anyone know any helpful websites or counselling services for those addicted to toasted breadstuffs? Anything related to Toasted Teacakes, Scotch Pancakes... it's all good.

Save my damned soul from Crumpies.

Seriously though, they are nice, aren't they?

What a wonderful miracle if only we could look through each other's eyes for an instant.

Another hopeless case...

I wonder if Pop Tarts should be included... although I doubt an addiction could be formed because of the lack of immediacy. I mean you can eat a crumpet straight from the toaster if the "hunger" is too bad... but just try doing that with a Pop Tart.

It's horrible. I've seen pictures..

biggrin

Most Gluten free stuff tastes like cardboard! Its a waste of money! Although there are some very yummy Chocolate cakes! Oh and Gluten free pasta is ok too. I've fed it to people without telling them and most didn't notice.

I guess you just get used to it. Its not really a big deal. It makes eating out harder. I'm lucky, I'm just intolerant. If I eat wheat I just feel a bit yucky for a day or two. Some people are severely allergic to foods and could die if they eat the wrong things!! Thankfully I'm not in that catagory!

I've started coming outin rashesfrom all sorts of food. I think the last one was strawberries. If it was and I am allergic to strawberries life will not be worth living.

I can still eat crumpets though.
Have them with marmite and apricot and stilton cheese.
Wonderful.

Sorry Skully, you have my sympathy.

UCOF and i had a midnight crumpet binge once.

We found a load of packs of crumpets (and a pint of milk) abandoned outside a newsagents on our way home from spitz.

we got through 36 crumpets in a single sitting.

last time i had crumpets was a couple of weeks ago with Jonny Moohaahaa, who likes chocolate spread on his.

but if
buttered crumpets = methadone
then
cinnamon-raisin bagels with jam = crack
