wow that was pethetic........

You can't avoid pain by fencing yourself from it.
Some times you need the help of others more than anything else
But you have to let them close enough to help......
People want to be needed, I found that out too

this kind of stuff bothers me. Why do we insist on teaching kids how to follow instructions when drawing pictures and produceing art?

do we want them all to draw the same bear using the same style? so they can be as poorly entertained with drawing a bear as possible?

To me, kids should figure out on their own how to draw bears, or if they don't like bears and don't like drawing pictures to send to soldiers and fire fighters, they can draw their house, or their faviroute cartoon or perhaps something straight from their imagination.

those kids who really like learning methods for drawing will seek them out. In the book shelf or perhaps they will ask someone a lot of questions.

Maybe they shouldn't be taught untill grade 7 or something how to be a proper artist, if they want to pick "art class" instead of "Something else class"

self determination is a good thing. aslong as it has loose guidelines. But I guess im crazy to think kids can express themselves via whatever means they find (I mean in reason)

the poor kids have enough stress being told what to do by the entire world via walmart t-shirts and their television and their parents and teachers do we really have to teach them how they can most efficiently draw a bear? Bears don't even have round ears.
