Next Saturday, November the 13th, it's the Seattle Burning Man Decompression party.
Sat. 11-13-04 Sea Compression 2004
2pm till 4am
Location: Segway, 5701 22nd Ave NW Seattle (in Ballard)

Presale ends at midnight on Halloween!
Door is $15 in playa wear, and $20 in street clothes
Day time festival is free, and all ages.
Daytime Workshops 2pm - 8pm, and include Fire Safety(required for any of the Poi and Staff workshops), Poi, Intermediate Poi, Contact Staff, Stilting, and El Wire, and more to be announced!
Nightime festival begins at 9pm, and is 21+.
No re-entry past 1:30 am
Ticket sales end at 1am sharp.
Proceeds 10% to Black Rock Arts Foundation/90% regional funds

looks like most of the fire troupes are making a showing too that night, tentative list includes Pyrosutra and Ignis Devoco(sp?), and at least a few Cirque performers.

I'm helping donia teach the advanced poi class at 5:30. Sounds like fun, were going to see what kind of class we have and figure what direction were going to go from there.
Musashii, do you guys know what isolations are up there? Donia had never heard of them and thought they were like stalls??

I've been doing them for a while, since before I moved back up to Seattle. It doesn't seem to be an extremely common move up here, and yes, they tend to call them stalls, same thing tho

Same thing? They may be asthetically linked. One's in constant motion, and the other's stopped. You'll have to show me. I'm flying in friday night at about 8:00. I can't wait to meet you all.

heh, I knew I'd catch flack about that. I just meant same thing in how they call an isolation a stall, but using their definition it kind of is the same thing. Where as we here on HOP classify a stall as a complete stop, they classify a stall as slowing down the poi head, not just stopping. I generally stick to HOP definitions myself tho
