you dont need a vid, if you know what an atomic is, just try and make weave motions inside it
this is a 3+ years of spinning move tho, if you havent got perfect two plane controle, forget it.

oh and for grass, an atomic is when the planes are at 90 degrees to each other

i've been doing poi for only a year and maybe a month and I know those, and alot more (need I say that I'm the best spinner in israel? hehe but there are WAY less spinners than jugglers) I also know BF buzzsaw hyperloop, and some cool trick one of my teachers taught me. I also don't care about the difficulty of a trick, I can do a 4 ball umbrella (akas: rainbow, arches) and I can't do 4 ball sync. did I get my point across?

well done.
i fully admit i was more interested in the technical side of poi when i was spinning lots, but i still made sure i could spin with clean planes and learnt the fundamentals first.
why would you want to *only* be able to juggle a 4b half shower (unless you were talking about 4b wimpy, which *is* one of the sync 4b base patterns)?

sry nx, thats not what i call an atomic weave. I looks like a iso ttn weave ALMOST atomic. Unfortunatly the only clip i have is a 1/2 atomic weave as well so i cant talk either. :P Then again, there are so many atomics now its hard to define.
My fav being , turn your weave horozontal (like the REAL defnition of inverted not arashi's inverted) and thats my atomic weave looks like. It should feel like your poi are going to fall out of the sky (almost 1/2 isolated) and something has gone badly wrong. Well untill u can do it clean anyway, cause after that, its one of the best "feeling" moves i can perform.
I'll shoot some video, if i ever get around to it, then u can see what im doing and call it what u like.

matt, your box weave is diffrent from mine, I think (and correct me if im wrong) that to do a poipoipoi box weave you are twisting the planes through 90 degrees each time. whereas with mine you are keeping the same planes all the time, they are just offset by 90 degrees.

The pattern remains identical but the entire plane that the pattern exists in is warped through 90 degrees.
eg 3 Bt Box Weave:
I end up with 3 beats on 1 face of the box, then instead of moving to the opposite face of the box (like a regular weave) I shift the whole thing for 3 beats of the face touching the first.
Then you can go back to the first face or continue round the box. This works equally well whether the spinning weave style or butterfly style.
