This is really just to guage a reaction.

We (the Falmouth Fire Fellowship wink) were talking the other day about having a big fire party a couple of weeks before Christmas. Brad has an excess of wood in his shop that needs burning, and that's an excuse to have a party. smile

We're thinking probably the weekend of Friday 9th Dec - Sunday 11th Dec. What do people think? Anyone fancy a trek to Cornwall to spin in the cold? We can guarantee lots of paraffin, lots of fresh herbs, and lots of tasty ale. biggrin

If you're between Plymouth and Falmouth there's no problem!...

Get a lift with SDRH, i'll pay for one of you for one night, between us we can sort the rest out and just starve for two days!

Problem sorted: Shall i set up a "Help Dunc get to Falmouth" paypal button and see how much we can raise.

I'm going to Devon on the Friday afternoon from Tewkesbury (dentist appointment!), and onward to Falmouth on the Saturday.

If anyone wants a lift back to Birmingham vicinity on the Sunday that's fine - I'll be heading straight back when the crowds depart anyway so just tell me on the Saturday ubbrollsmile

Mmmm, poi. I've started a log of my progress at https://poilog.blogspot.com/,
any advice / suggestions appreciated! Especially for progress on to firepoi weavesmiley

You obviously need a better job.
Slapping your superiors round the face every time you see them would do the trick. biggrin

There are always ways and means... umm

I'm working on it. A massive fire is NOT a problem, as Brad has a room full of wood that needs burning. I don't wanna have a fire on the beach as that means a) getting everyone to the beach, b) being really cold (even with a fire). I'm scouting for places inland that we can have a bonfire party, in fact I've just had another idea where we can go. I'm gonna look into the hall thing again tonight. Sorry about the slow reply, but do not fret, it's gonna be amazing. bounce

Youth hostel (for most) - Talk to BristolPoi.
By my (probably inaccurate) estimations, about 20.
...ish...?

A lift may be possible, add your name to the list and mention it at some point.
I'm sure it'll get sorted.

caz86 - if you want a youth hostel place - give us a shout. If you want a lift - a few of us are coming from Bristol. If you can't gey anyone from your way give SDLW a PM and ask her very nicely if she might come and get you. (she doesn't bite!)

Someone remind me on thursday to pack the ripstop nylon for bird. Otherwise it will get left behind!

Have we got anywhere indoors to spin yet or are we all just going to be brave and freeze?

*wonders how may pairs of socks its possible to wear and still get shoes on*

and i reckon three pairs will do the trick... three pairs of socks and get some bigger shoes.
