This is really just to guage a reaction.

We (the Falmouth Fire Fellowship wink) were talking the other day about having a big fire party a couple of weeks before Christmas. Brad has an excess of wood in his shop that needs burning, and that's an excuse to have a party. smile

We're thinking probably the weekend of Friday 9th Dec - Sunday 11th Dec. What do people think? Anyone fancy a trek to Cornwall to spin in the cold? We can guarantee lots of paraffin, lots of fresh herbs, and lots of tasty ale. biggrin

Mags, I had an idea.....could you find a B&B that wants a big group booking to fill them up completely and get a discount on the room prices perhaps? Preferably owned vby some funky surf chick who wants to party all night wink Otherwise it'll probably be the hostel for us but won't we have to be quiet and stuff there?

OK. I'll look into B&B's this weekend, and I'll whack some details up on here on monday. Personally Dunc, I reckon wherever you stay is gonna expect some level of nighttime quietness. To be honest though, I reckon we'll spend a large portion of the night around a campfire somewhere, so I wouldn't worry. Sleepings for the dead anyway. biggrin

Jon you better come or I'll stigmatise you. biggrin

Mags,

Are these quite decent places for £18/19 a night. Sounds good if breakfast is included for the price. Are they quite clean/cockroach free etc...

just wondering if we could take over these B&B's seeing there might be quite a few of us. what does everyone else think - shall we all try and get the same B&B's???

I have a feeling the Wickham is shut at this time of year... www.cornwall-online.co.uk is a good website for B&Bs and things though...

Methinks that the hostel sounds like a good idea to have everyone in the same place - working on the theory that hostels usually have more space?... although the prospect of cooked breakfast is rather enticing...

Mags> were you in rems on saturday after, painted green?? i'm sure i could smell paraffin... biggrin

Skully - we're probably gonna go for a B&B - breakfast is far too tempting for me!

If the Wickham is open probably there as it's on the same road as the hostel.
