omg i cant believe it i did 8 poi at once today!!! i was doing a butterfly in each hand, my mouth, and to in one foot(i was doing butterflys with all the sets. omg i will try to do it again and and catch it on video. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

er ... sorry to kick things off again but i never got a chance to reply to mand. i'll try and keep it brief and as pleasant as possible and just answer a couple of her questions:
why did i post my reply? well clearly i shouldn't have done i should have ignored your post, for which i apologise to miller for hijacking his thread and turning it into an argument. but i posted because miller is a friend of mine and numbers poi is my obsession at the moment. that is why your post offended me. apart from that i have already explained why i posted in my reply to spitfire.
when i said your imagination was limited i was referring to your description of the 8 poi trick. not to you as a person. i apologise if that wasn't clear. and now by answering one of your questions i'll attempt to contribute something relevant to the thread:
what can you do with it? quite a lot i would suggest:
- you could do the trick while riding on a skateboard, one-foot idling on a unicycle or while jumping over a rope.
- a large number of 2 poi tricks can be done with two one-handed butterflies, such as the wiggle and guy's gyroscope.
- i've seen video of someone doing a trick with a mouth butterfly (i think it was going from one side of his head to the other - it looked crazy).
- with a bit of practice the foot butterfly could be moved forward and backward. if the poi-er had enough flexibility the foot butterfly could also be done over the head.
having four different butterflies all doing tricks would look very cool. i think turning with it would have to be learned to make it into an attractive routine. miller i give you till next year at camp to form such a routine.

Managed 2 bt weave transition to butterfly with two short meteors at once... but that's all I can do with them.

Its not exactly a challenge is it.
I personally dont find it particularly impressive either.
I would rather go

Out of curiousity, when you did the 8 poi at once, did you manage to get them all going by yourself or did you have another person start and hand them to you?
Also, I wanted to say that even if you were on your back you couldnt do 10 because in Pupil's set, hes doing a pair in his teeth. Dont think you could keep a butterfly going in your teeth while laying down. However, you could possibly do 9 by strapping a poi to the top of your head. I have spun a poi on my head before and ti works fairly well.
