Alright, the details are set wink We've got a place and a time and everything.

Centre of Gravity
1300 Gerrard St East (Just East of Greenwood and almost right off Dundas [I believe])
September 24 & 25
1030 - 1300 (or for those less partial for my beloved 24 hour clock, 10:30am - 1:30pm)
$35 for one & $60 for both

Bring your selves, bring your poi, and bring an appetite to learn and play!
Hope to see everyone there, contact me for a pre-reg spot, it's first come first serve, and pre-reg can make sure you get a spot.
R.S.V.P at anime_lover_gram@hotmail.com or at 905-877-1179 (will probably be long distance).

Cheers

...and tomorrow we're heading east. we thought we had a connection in Saskatoon, but now we can't contact her. Anybody want to give a few weary poisters a place to stay? We're all set up in Winnipeg but a stop in Saskatoon or Regina would be great. Also... Thunder Bay???

See you Calgary folks tonight!

Peace and poi,

I have a LOT to practice now!
Is anyone going to Riley on Sunday night? I'm pretty sure my drum and I will be there! weavesmiley

Wish I was at spinning at Riley Park.
Instead I'm sitting in Texas, waiting to ride out a hurricane. frown

Hey Out There Canucks!
The Toronto Workshop was absolutely GREAT! I managed to get hyperloops, flowers, antispins, and butterfly airwraps simply from throwing around ideas with some of the people from all about. We had a great turnout! People from all over (Nick and co from BC, 3 people up from New York, one up from LA, and people from all over Ontario!), It wasn't just the TO workshop, it was for all of NA biggrin
Anyways, for the Toronto people, every wednesday at Zero Gravity Circus there's a juggling and spinning workshop, from about 7pm-midnight, and after we go to a local park and spin fire. Cost is $5 to rent out the place but it's great fun, tons of people out!
Cheers

Hopefully Kim and I will be making an appearance at Riley park- as long as the temperature is above freezing point, and it's not snowing! ubblol

If anyone from Calgary checks this before tomorrow (Monday), it's forcast to be a nice sunny day. smile

So for anyone who isn't busy with thanksgiving stuff, Kim and I are going spinning in the sunshine at Princes Island Park.
If anyone would like to join us, we'll be there from about 2pm onwards. smile

Just generaly FYI, I'm back in Canada again, and will be for the next SEVERAL years.

I'm in Halifax, NS. We don't really have any sort of community, really. I know several spinners in the area, however poi meets are extremely rare. But we still exist! (somewhere..)

Hey,
Spinning in Calgary is as far from organized as it gets. There are a bunch of us who go out spinning on Sundays, but it's not a tight-knit scene at all. Your best bet is to just PM me, Mand, Spitfire, or Blayze, probably.

So why the move to Calgary?

Is it too cold to persuade drummers to come play?

I'm moving to Calgary cause that's where I'm from. I came to Phoenix to go to school and I'm moving back because that's where I want to be:) I look forward to meeting you guys. My fire group here (Soltribe) is like my family and I'll miss them alot. I'll be in Calgary from December 1-7 then I'm gone for a month and back for good after Christmas.
