Posted:Yea - i read it + i've seen the movie; about a millin times in fact. so often that i can quote the movie from start to finish.
i didn't enjoy the book as much as the movie though - i thought buttercup was way too much of a bimbo and the end was kinda dissappointing when compared to the ending in the movie.
but i'm glad that i've read it.
i think more ppl know about the movie though - good luck looking for book fans.

"WRONG! Your ears you keep and I'll tell you why. So that every shreik of every child at seeing your hideousness will be yours to cherish. Every baby that weeps at your approach, every woman who cries out "dear God, what is that thing?" will echo in your perfect ears. That is what "the pain" means. It means I leave you in anguish. Wallowing in freakish misery forever."

"I'm so busy- I've got my wife to kill and Guilder to frame for it-I'm just swamped!"
I do not think it means what you think it means...
a local movie theater has been showing midnight screenings of some cult classics, like Ghostbusters, Fight club, etc, and were looking for suggestions- I'd love to see the Princess bride there! I've seen it more times than I can count-it was my favorite movie when I was little.

so... good...

i used to watch the movie every time i got sick and had to stay home from school.

if i had useless amounts of money, i'd do a remake with antonio banderas as inigo... orlando bloom as wesley... and johnny depp as the princ or count rugan.. and whichever one he's not would be shaun connery... oh hell yeah.

mocking a classic yes, but hilarious in the process!

can't really pick someone for fezik though, andre the giant was perfect. ...maybe keanu reaves.... nahhh

You know the "Rodents of unusual size" ... There is an island off the coast of indonesia, where they have just discovered skeletons of rat-like creatures the size of buffalo!! True story!! and apparently they were still alive up until about 100yrs ago living in the jungles! So they are real! ROUSs! eek!

I'm about half way through reading it with my love, and while the charactors arent as perfect as in the princess bride, it has the same warm wit that appeals so much.
