Well, there seem to be a fair amount of musical type people here on HoP, whether singer/songwriters, musicians, in bands or DJ's.

So I thought I'd start a thread where you can plug your band and (the real point) put up links to any MP3's you might have of your stuff (assuming you don't mind people getting your music for free wink )

I'm in a little band type thing, and will whack up an mp3 when I get home from work. But as it's taken us 1 year just to record 3 songs, we're not really actually a proper touring band or anything like that (We couldn't, there's only 2 of us in the band, but play about 8 instruments between us)

For what it's worth - we're called StarSpank smile

Link to follow... smile

I play guitar and sing, but am not in a band since there seems to be a shortage of drummers in the Falmouth area. So I just play at the open mic nights around town. Hard to ascertain what kind of music i play, as it varies wildly. Silly music, mainly.

Iused to play rythem guitar in a band called WHYTICE, but then we split up cos our bassist couldnt handle it with her nails and the drummers father (we had to practise at her house)hated the bassist and it got all crazy and stupid. am currently looking for a new one. And we will have a site!

Hey there,

For the Kiwi's on the board... check out one million dollars next time they're playing live.

They're a 10-piece funk band from Auckland I was friends with when I was in NZ last year.

Kinda sound like early Jamiroquai. Nice and good to dance to biggrin

Their website: https://www.onemilliondollars.co.nz/
(it's not a great site, but hey, they're only new biggrin )

Also, check out this one: www.funk.co.nz

Hey.

Ive been playign the violin for erm 12 years now, started when i was 5years of age. Although im not very good. Im in Senior Orchestra at School thats about it as far as my classical music goes.

I also play the Bass guitar and ive been in various bands none of which have ever suceeded in lasting a year. Except the one i have with my brother.

My dads quite a Music finatic so we have all the recording studio stuff. So we've recorded quite a few bands done there demo disks etc. Its quite fun doing that but very annoying hearing the same song over and over and over and over again. Grrrr.

Anyway thats my musical history/life. I mite even bring my fiddle along to a spin and do a little folk jig for ya.

More plugging to be done!

I've just uploaded a new track to my myspazz page, called "Android Cathedral" (subject to change). It's a work in progress, and it will quite probably end up with another 4 or 5 minutes of stuff in there, possibly featuring some tumping metal guitar.

Comments and criticism please!! Allan, if you feel like doing another video, feel free mate!
