hi everyone,

something that has been bothering me for a while and I think probly a bunch of you ppl to is that as much as I love fire twirling, I'm torn because it represents the most extravangant usage of fossil fuels (FFs)? I mean at least if I used FFs to power my car I would be getting some utility, but Fire twirling is purely for fun...I mean I dont really do it to entertain ppl either so I cant even justify it that way.

Is it really possible to call yourself environmentally responsible when your favourite pasttime is burning FFs for fun?

Where does this leave all the firey hippys? Or is 'firetwirling hippy' an oxymoron?

hm. Is the issue here the burning/polluting byproducts, or the 'dwindling supply of ffs left'? or a combination? or more points than i can think of?

the only thing that really concerns me is the amount of unburnt fuel left on the ground after a spin that can then polute our (and that is a collective "our" including trees and fish, and all the rest of the earthlings) water supply.

still this is trivial compared to the spillage at one petrol station in a given day...

not a great deal lives at petrol stations. probably for those reasons wink

the main concern that gets me with firespinning is the smoke/soot. but im not much of an enviro-d00d anyway.
