I ask this because I (the part of me I call me) dont really want to be the centre of attention, but I often, without will, find myself making a total tit of myself trying to get noticed?

Trust me i;m the same..its not always a bad thing but sometimes it can backfire, it has on me. Its cool when people notice what you do and appreciate it. I dont exactly go lookign for attetion and realise i'm doing it, it just happens. Dont woryr alot of people are the same

You can probably make a fortune appearing on chat shows and writing your autobiography/autobiographies.
Seriously, I think a lot of people are like that. I have been know to make an utter fool of myself, especially after drinking. And other times I'm not like that at all.
I expect it's just part of the human condition.

I'm a quiet person & a private person. I really don't like being the centre of attention. That doesn't mean I am not confident, I do IT Training, and occasionally I perform. I do both these things without any stage fright.
However afterwards I prefer quiet time on my own. I will step out of the performance area and quietly slip off into the darkness.

even performers can't perform all the time, why on earth do you think celebrities get so het up about being followed around all the time? they wouldn't be celebrities in the first place if they didn't crave some attention, everyone does, but there are different degrees of it. And everyone needs ro be quiet or alone sometimes, it's not weird... and i doubt it's multiple personalities either, just human.
