I found this in the course of looking up reading for uni...

I feel so conflicted...

Saddly I've met people that if you mention reading they look at you like you're tongue has just crawled out your ear. There's a Bill Hicks joke about it:

I'm sitting in a waffle bar, eating my waffle, reading a book, minding my own business and the waffle waitress come up to me:
"What'chu reedin' for?"
--- Not what am I reading but what am I reading for
"You know, I've never been asked that before. Goddamnit, you stumped me. I guess I read for a lot of reasons, the main one being so I don't end up a f**king waffle waitress"

Thinking about it, I've also been asked what I'm reading for.

Grumble over

Give me a lever long enough and a place to stand and I can beat the world into submission.

It's like when i'm doing work in study periods and people ask me "whacha studying for?"
"umm, let me think....TO GET OUT OF THIS &^%*#$% JOINT!!!"

i would have changed ***** to phallus, and claire to petey Petey

Rougie: but that's what I'm doing here
Arnwyn: what letting me adjust myself in your room?..don't you dare quote that on HoP...

Farenheit 451 is one of my favourite books smile Really made me smile to see that. Apparently it's a real poster, although obviously I have my doubts.

I love the internet biggrin
