i reckon uzoo36 in a strange way it looks rather cute... i have no idea what you'd feed a bat/cat/crocodile though, i doubt it'd live on mouldy student baked beans....
i'd definately advise against the bird/dog combo uzoo109, good lord imagine the damage that could cause when it comes to greet you coming home!

if you want serious suggestions....
anything that doesn't need an awful lot of space is good, low maintainence, nocturnal... all good for student houses!
I highly recommend small reptiles (cornsnakes are easy, lots of easy lizards), invertebrates... or you could just get fish.
While I was at uni I had goldfish in my first year (I was in halls, and was allowed them via a loophole in the regulations that that the fish were officially 'food'), then dwarf egyptian ground geckos, and have a praying mantis now too.

The human hybrids really bother me..... Other than that, I like the Crocodagon and the froggerfly.

same with this other creature, I can't remember what it's called...but they live in the rainforest and have HUGE ginormous eyes, and they fit in the palm of your hand with these long chicken-like legs....and to look around they have to move their heads.....and they have cut little tails
